Privacy Policy

The short version: PrintReady does not collect your documents or personal information. Your scans are stored only on your device. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. Signing, text recognition and PDF creation all happen on your device.

Who we are

PrintReady ("the app", "we", "us") is a document scanning app for iPhone and iPad. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@printready.store.

Your documents

Documents you scan or import are saved in the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload, view, copy or store your documents on any server. When you print, save or share a PDF, it goes only to the printer, app or person you choose, using Apple's standard print and share features.

Text recognition, which makes your scans searchable, runs on your device using Apple's built-in technology. The recognized text stays with the document on your device.

Deleting a document in the app removes it from your device. Deleting the app removes all of its documents.

Signatures

If you draw a signature, it is saved as an image in the app's private storage on your device and is used only when you choose to sign a scan or PDF. Signing happens on your device, and we never receive your signature. You can redraw or replace it at any time in PrintReady Settings.

Camera and Photos

PrintReady asks for camera access so you can scan documents, and photo library access only when you choose to import photos. Images are used only to create your documents on your device. You can change these permissions at any time in your device Settings.

AI assistant (optional, coming in a future update)

The AI assistant is not available in the current version of PrintReady. When it is offered, the following applies. PrintReady will include an optional assistant powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. It only runs if you agree to use it. When you send a message, the text you type and the recent messages in that chat are sent through our server to Anthropic to create a reply. Your scans, files and photos are never sent. We do not store chat messages on our server, and chats are not linked to your identity. Anthropic processes the messages under its commercial terms and privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. You can turn the assistant off at any time in PrintReady Settings. Please don't enter passwords, ID numbers or other sensitive details in chats.

Google Drive (optional, coming in a future update)

Saving directly to Google Drive is not available in the current version. You can still save PDFs to Google Drive through the share sheet, which is handled by Apple and the Google Drive app. When direct saving is offered, the following applies. You can connect your Google account to save PDFs to Google Drive. PrintReady asks only for the drive.file permission, which lets it create files in a "PrintReady" folder and see only the files it created. It cannot see or change anything else in your Drive. A file is uploaded only when you choose "Save to Google Drive." Your Google sign-in is handled by Google, and PrintReady never sees your password. We do not store your Google data on our servers and do not share it with anyone. You can disconnect at any time in PrintReady Settings or in your Google Account settings.

PrintReady's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Face ID

If you turn on Face ID lock, authentication is handled entirely by iOS. PrintReady only learns whether unlocking succeeded. We never receive or store your face data or passcode.

Purchases and subscriptions

PrintReady offers an auto-renewing yearly subscription and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. To check whether you have an active subscription or Lifetime purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device information such as the operating system version and country. This information is used only to provide, restore and manage your purchases, including the Manage Pro screen in PrintReady Settings. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email or phone number
No location
No contacts
No advertising identifiers, ads or ad networks
No analytics or tracking across apps and websites

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports. These help us fix problems and do not include your documents.

Children

PrintReady is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Future print ordering

We plan to offer optional professional printing through print partners. If you choose to place a print order in the future, the documents and delivery details you submit for that order would be shared with the print partner to fulfill it. We will update this policy and ask for your consent before that feature is available.

Your choices and rights

Because your documents and settings stay on your device, you control them directly: you can delete documents in the app or delete the app entirely. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
